Cloud migration project leadership
A cloud migration changes where applications run and how teams operate them. Gateflow, an IT company based in Frankfurt, leads defined migration phases for companies across Germany. Gateflow coordinates application owners and cloud suppliers around a reviewed plan, so business decisions and technical prerequisites are addressed before production workloads move.
Cloud migration scope
The starting point is a workload list with the business owner and current operating arrangements for each application. Migration project leadership establishes which part of the move Gateflow leads and which engineering tasks stay with your team or suppliers. The customer agrees the target services and the decisions that require business approval, including workloads that remain in their current environment.
Cloud target readiness
Before a workload is scheduled, the receiving environment needs a responsible team and recorded readiness checks. Gateflow tracks the preparation of access permissions and network connections against the application requirements. The cloud engineers confirm their technical configuration. Missing prerequisites become assigned tasks, so an application team can distinguish a ready destination from infrastructure that has merely been ordered.
Cloud supplier coordination
Cloud delivery often combines platform subscriptions with separate implementation and support work. Technology selection and vendor coordination makes those boundaries explicit in the project plan. Gateflow requests the supplier assumptions behind the proposed approach, including responsibilities for incidents during the move. The customer retains purchasing decisions and receives unresolved questions before accepting a commitment that depends on another supplier.
Cloud migration waves
The migration sequence groups workloads according to their dependencies and the business calendar. Gateflow coordinates the proposed waves with application owners and confirms what must be demonstrated before the next group moves. Work that changes application behavior is identified separately from moving an existing deployment. The resulting plan shows when customer testing is needed and which decisions affect later waves.
Data transfer and reconciliation
For the agreed data migration and system integration work, Gateflow coordinates the transfer sequence with the people responsible for the records. The plan states how changes during transfer are handled and who confirms the comparison between source and destination. The responsible engineers select the transfer method for the actual environment; the project schedule includes its preparation and validation steps.
Cloud cutover approval
A cloud cutover needs an approved change window and a clear stop decision. Gateflow prepares the readiness review using rehearsal findings and the outstanding issue list. The technical owners confirm the recovery procedure before the customer authorizes the move. After execution, agreed application checks determine whether the new environment is accepted or whether further corrective work is required.
Cloud operations handover
The project working method includes handing operating responsibilities to a named team. Gateflow coordinates the review of monitoring contacts and support instructions, with outstanding issues assigned before closure. The customer also receives the decisions about retained infrastructure and subsequent retirement. Continued cloud administration is a separate service scope, with its coverage agreed before the project team steps away.
Cloud migration effort
Send the workload inventory, target cloud proposal and the business deadline to discuss a mandate. Include available internal engineers and the supplier work already commissioned. The effort estimate considers migration waves and the preparation required for acceptance, while cloud usage charges remain separate. Gateflow confirms required platform knowledge, assignment capacity and any on-site attendance before accepting the work.
